Week of January 25th

  • Sonny sweats out Maxie’s talk with Mac about the Claudia case. He’s all but sure she’s gonna crack.
  • Somehow, Maxie musters up enough mobster-nerve and gives nothing away to Mac about the night she was waiting in the rain in her car at Sonny’s.
  • Dominic finds the nerve to express that he does indeed love Lulu.
  • Dominic puts Olivia on the lookout for Sonny’s legal downfall; circle the date, ma. In talking with his mom, Dom also allows that a part of him beamed when Sonny offered the keys to the kingpin-dom. ShowBox('ad6371c')
  • In response, Olivia rides FBI agent Rayner to remove Dominic as the acting undercover cop and delay Sonny’s drop till later.
  • Agent Rayner makes it look like he’s caving in to a worried mom’s nagging. But as soon as the coast is clear, he’s on the phone to his people to move up the date of the mob sweep.
  • Olivia confesses to Johnny what she did – forcing Agent Rayner to remove Dominic from Sonny’s bust and all that.
  • Johnny interprets Olivia’s action as a betrayal to their love (trying to stave off doom for her true love Sonny), and pulls away from her.
  • Waiting out the moment of Sonny’s downfall causes Dominic all kinds of remorse.
  • Jax shakes in his designer Kenneth Coles at what will happen to him when Carly ravages him for knowing all along about Dominic’s undercover alias.
  • Jax has only Olivia to talk to about this.
  • Meanwhile, a blissfully oblivious and Narcissistic Carly organizes Josslyn’s christening like it’s the Oscar Awards.
  • Michael doesn’t hesitate to drop the dime on Dominic as an undercover operative to Sonny.
  • Trouble is, Sonny thinks a jealous Michael’s making the whole story up.
  • Michael leans on Jax to do something about traitor Dominic, because his dad Sonny won’t.
  • Still, Sonny follows up with Jason—as insurance.
  • Jason and Spinelli do what they should’ve done from the beginning: check Dominic out to see if his story sticks.
  • Jason and Spinelli will unearth evidence, including an interview with Sonny’s housekeeper (he has a housekeeper?), that confirms Michael’s accusation.
  • Jason reports his findings on Dominic as two-faced to Sonny.
  • Sonny puts Jason on the case of whacking Dominic immediately. As in, now rather than later, so as not to ruin Carly’s plans for Josslyn’s christening.
  • Dominic reconsiders the wisdom of holding onto Lulu when Sonny’s case breaks wide open.
  • Lulu reminds Dominic that he’s not the boss of her and she will do what she likes, which is to hold onto him back.
  • Ronnie reports to Dominic of an okay on the arrest warrant.
  • Dominic takes a stand to Ronnie about stalling the arrest, at least until Josslyn’s done with the christening.
  • When Sonny has Jason draw Dominic out to a certain meeting spot, it’s the Godfather all over again as the undercover cop smells the hit from miles away.
  • Dominic averts his own hit, then takes the bull by the horns by going to Sonny’s at Sonny’s own place, for a talking-to, man to man.
  • Sonny doesn’t give Dominic a chance to talk. He just levels his glock at the undercover cop and fires mercilessly. There will be blood.
  • Lucky lets it all hang out, baby. He can’t keep a lid on Elizabeth and Nikolas’s affair another week.
  • As Lucky is laying out all that he witnessed – of Liz and Nik humping like dogs in heat – Elizabeth and Nikolas see their life pass before their eyes.
  • Elizabeth cannot bear her shame in the face of betraying Lucky this way, and turns her back on Nikolas.
  • Luke knew this would happen, and so, he feels badly for what Lucky’s going through.
  • Luke transmits his feeling badly for Lucky to Tracy. Luke says that he sees too much of himself in Lucky now and wonders how far that cowboy will go.
  • Fully informed of Liz and Nik’s affair, Lulu has a few, choice words for her half-brother.
  • Then, Lulu strolls into GH to call Elizabeth out during the poor woman’s nurse shift.
  • Elizabeth mentally and emotionally shatters after Lulu gets through with her, and has to be tended to by Nikolas, who whisks her to somewhere private.
  • Robin strongly counsels Nikolas to quit Elizabeth, for both their sakes. Liz doesn’t need him panting after her anymore.
  • Lucky goes to Jason about the whole sorry, sordid tale (of Elizabeth and Nikolas’s affair behind his back) and offers to give up custody of Jake.
  • Carly gets a great, big whiff of what Elizabeth did to Lucky and tries to talk Jason into taking Jake back.
  • After much thought, consideration and conferring with his sycophant Sam, Jason arrives at the decision that his baby boy Jake is better off staying with Elizabeth and Lucky, despite the turmoil they’re going through.
  • Mike’s addictive antics land him in GH’s ER and under Patrick’s, then Lisa’s care.
  • Patrick buoys Lisa up as his best surgical partner. He even hands her the reigns.
  • Following Mike’s operation, Patrick lauds Lisa’s efforts to Steven. Lisa beams with pride and more than a little attraction to her old college flame.
  • Next week: Right after Sonny tries to blow Dominic away, Olivia scurries over to scream about his “son.”… Sonny immediately feels sucker-punched… Lulu and the other guests are sitting there waiting for Josslyn’s christening to get underway. Lulu senses trouble because Dominic and Sonny are both missing… Sonny wastes no time in coming forward to recovering Dominic/Dante as his real dad… Olivia yells at Sonny for spilling the DNA prematurely… Dante could’ve sworn Sonny came over and said “I’m your father.” But nah, that couldn’t be right. Maybe it’s the meds… Jason’s answer to Sonny’s attempted murder of a cop is for the mobster to hit the road, jack… Weighed down with fatherly guilt, Sonny seems intent on receiving his just due for almost killing his own flesh and blood… Lulu confides in Nikolas about having fallen hard for Dante… This thing Lulu’s gotten mixed up in with Dominic/Dante troubles Luke… Sam jumps on an idea to shield Sonny from the consequences of his violent actions against Dominic. Gotta give the walking, talking centerfold something to do… Michael comes clean to his siblings about having accidentally thwonked Claudia to death… Franco leaves another calling card for Jason… Lucky is a miserable, drunken wreck, because of Elizabeth… But even when Lucky is told of how much Elizabeth is suffering and sunken in, it’s not enough to matter anymore. Barkeep!
